Once a match is closed in Innovative Mentoring Software, it cannot be reopened. However, there is a workaround to restart the match: you can make note of the match details on the Match screen, delete the match and recreate it (leaving it open). Here is how to do that:

Locate the closed match you want to reopen. This is easiest to do from the Mentee or Mentor screen by clicking the View Match button. Alternatively, you can go to the Match screen, adjust the filters to include closed matches and then select it from the drop-down.

Record the details of the match on paper including the mentee & mentor, program, case manager, match start date, description and any profile fields you have configured.

Select Delete Match from the Actions menu in the upper-right of the screen and click Yes when prompted to confirm.

The mentee and mentor in the match will both go back to the waiting status with the same dates they had before they were matched. You can now recreate the match from either the Mentee or Mentor screen and re-enter the details you recorded in step 2.
