Un/Checking shared addresses in a search

Does Innovative Mentoring identify shared addresses by searching for duplicates or by identifying addresses that have been synchronized in the database?

You can create mailings/labels for a household with a shared address. Here are instructions:

How do I create labels for the households in my database?
